Our Services

The activities carried out by Pershore Volunteer Centre are wide-ranging and include:
  • The recruitment and placement of volunteers.
  • Providing a Community Transport Scheme which includes a Social Car Scheme for those without a vehicle or unable to use public transport and an accessible minibus service for use by local voluntary and community groups.
  • Providing support services including a day centre for the elderly, a home visiting service, and a bereavement support group.
  • Identification of needs in the area, linking these to existing resources where possible and establishing new services if necessary.
  • Liaison with statutory and voluntary organisations, promoting and developing partnership working and contributing to new and existing partnerships.
  • Supporting a Resource Centre used by other voluntary groups for printing, duplicating, etc.

Local charities and community groups can register as members of our development agency network.  We will publicise their voluntary opportunities on the Volunteering database and in our newsletters.  Members will receive a regular newsletter with information and advice about issues relating to voluntary groups and will also receive invitations to attend our community lunches.  These lunches are held twice a year and bring together representatives from local organisations who are active in the Pershore area.
