Mission and Aims
Mission:To empower young people to become positively involved within their communities.
Aim:
Youth Volunteering Wychavon aims to support young people in the development and delivery of volunteering projects that reflect the interests and concerns of young people and benefit the local community.
Key Project Outcomes:
- Increase & sustain volunteering by young people in Wychavon especially those in the target groups (BME; physical/learning disabilities; young parents)
- Reduce social isolation in a predominantly rural area especially those in the target groups
- Raise awareness of rural issues and build ethnic integration within the community
- Continued engagement in volunteering by young people
- Raise the confidence of young people to contribute to community activity
- Improve integration and communication between generations and the wider community by highlighting youth involvement
